Mission Statement

The Richfield Youth Hockey Association strives to teach participants the game of organized hockey and instill the lifelong principles of teamwork, sportsmanship and respect to help grow confidence, strong character and strengthen the community.

Summer Clinics

Richfield is offering summer clinics that includes on-ice and dryland training for all levels Mites - High School.  Click on the Summer Clinic 2012 tab to the left for more information & to register.  Cost is $15 per session or $100 for all.  You won't find a better offer! Thank you to RHAuxiliary for their support.  They paid a portion of the ice for our spring/summer clinics so we could keep cost down for you!

 
Kennedy is offering a 4-week summer clinic that will include intensive on-ice and off-ice training and development designed to improve core hockey skills – skating, puck handling and shooting. The clinic will run from July 9th to August 3rd, a detailed schedule can be found at http://www.kennedyhockey.org/page/show/324788-summer-clinics-2012.  
The price of this outstanding clinic is $320.00.

Feedback

Kennedy and Richfield both have setup committees to work through coop play issues for next season. The Kennedy committee has setup an email address and is looking for feedback, both from parents and kids on what worked this season and what could be improved. If you have any suggestions on things that should be changed for next seasons coop please send them to feedback.khbc@gmail.com it would be appreciated.


JABS_13 Wristbands

If anyone would like to purchase a JABS_13 wristband please contact Sheila Anderson tanderson7539@msn.com proceeds go to Jack Jablonski fund.  Donation of $5 is preferred.


 

Player Commitment

Player Commitment
"The D6 one league rule has been replaced with a player commitment contracts that reads as follows -

COMMITMENT TO TEAM – Players are expected to participate in all team activities (practices, games, tournaments, etc). An allowance for an “excused absence” upon notice that is reasonable under the circumstances may be established by teams and associations. However, unexcused absence is grounds for consequence to a player, as determined by the team or association, up to and including suspension.

Checking Skill Development Program approved

USA Hockey's Board of Directors overwhelmingly passed all aspects of the Progressive Checking Skill Development Program during its 2011 Annual Congress.

Beginning in the 2011-12 season, legal body checking in games will begin at the Bantam age level (ages 13-14).  See link below for more information.
