Volunteer Requirments

Required Volunteer Hours:

Beg/Intermediate Mites: 5 hours

Advanced Mites: 10 hours

Squirts/Peewee: 15 hours

The above hours are per family so if you have a Beg and an Advanced Mite you are required to do 10 hours.  If you have a child in both Richfield and Kennedy you are required to do 10 hours at each association unless one is an Beg/Int Mite in ours and an older one at Kennedy than you must complete 5 hours at Richfield and 10 at Kennedy.

Please note that working your regular team games (clock, score sheet, penalty box) does not count towards volunteer hours.

How do you get in your volunteer hours?  Well, most volunteer hours are put in during tournaments we host.  Our first tournament is our Peewee tournament Dec. 1 – 4, Bantam tournament is Jan. 13 – 15 and Squirt tournament is Feb. 9 – 12.  We need people to run the clock, do the score sheet, run the penalty box and run the Chuck a Puck.

A $250 check is required for a deposit this is held and is given back once you fulfill your hours.  Please give these to your team manager.  We truly do not want anyone’s money we need the help to make our tournaments a success.  Tournaments are our number one fundraiser and how we are able to keep hockey costs down.

Here are some Volunteer Duties and if you have already fulfilled your requirements we do not need a check.

·         Board Members – fulfilled hours

·         Coaches – fulfilled hours

·         Team Manger – fulfilled hours

·         Locker Room Monitor (Squirts & Peewees) – fulfilled hours

·         Party Planner for Mites – 8 hours

·         Picture Organizer – fulfilled hours

·         Jersey Handouts for Mites – 1.5 hours

·         Tournaments - Varies

Player Commitment

Player Commitment
"The D6 one league rule has been replaced with a player commitment contracts that reads as follows -

COMMITMENT TO TEAM – Players are expected to participate in all team activities (practices, games, tournaments, etc). An allowance for an “excused absence” upon notice that is reasonable under the circumstances may be established by teams and associations. However, unexcused absence is grounds for consequence to a player, as determined by the team or association, up to and including suspension.
