The Richfield Youth Hockey Association strives to teach participants the game of organized hockey and instill the lifelong principles of teamwork, sportsmanship and respect to help grow confidence, strong character and strengthen the community.
USA Hockey is implementing a new set of policies starting with the 2012-13 season called The SafeSport Program. The purpose of this program is to create the safest possible environment for participation in hockey. There will be a new position created to oversee the implementation of this program for each association. Chara Blanch will fill this position.
The comprehensive program is focused on creating an environment that will deter abusers and assist those in the hockey community in recognizing, reducing and responding to allegations or suspected abuse. You can read about the program by clicking on the link below.
